New Lansing CDL Location FAQs

Where is the new Child Development Laboratory located? 

 

The third location of the CDL is located at 2215 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing.

 

Where are the other CDL locations?

 

Two current locations in East Lansing and Haslett already support the community and provide educational opportunities for advances in early childhood education innovation.

 

When will the new location open?

 

The new CDL location is expected to open in phases, beginning late fall with 3 classrooms and eventually expanding to 7 classrooms.

 

How many children/infants can attend?

 

We will open 3 classrooms in late fall serving 32 children. More classrooms will open in the future, but the exact plans and timelines are still being finalized.

 

More than 100 children from infants to preschoolers could be potentially served.

 

What services are provided? 

 

Child care and early childhood education. MSU students will also be trained to provide high-quality early childhood education.

How much does the tuition cost?

What are the hours that child care is available?

 

The Lansing CDL will be open 7:30 AM-6:00 PM.

 

Is this only for MSU faculty/families? 

 

No, it is open to all families in the Greater Lansing area.

 

Is this parent drop off only, or will there be any transportation services? 

 

The children will need to be dropped off and picked up; there will not be transportation services.
