Dr. Erica Tobe, MSU Human Development and Family Studies assistant professor, received the #ITeachMSU Educator Award. The award recognizes high-impact educators through the Center for Teaching and Learning Innovation’s Thank an Educator initiative.
“Recognition is always appreciated, especially in a profession where much of the work goes behind the scenes and is often unnoticed,” Dr. Erica Tobe said. “What makes this award a bit more special is that the nomination came directly from a student, who I’d like to thank! You have no idea how much this means.”
The Thank an Educator initiative highlights the diverse roles educators play, and it encourages individuals to recognize their contributions to MSU. Furthermore, it helps us all celebrate those who shape learning experiences and student success.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to educate through my work with MSU HDFS and Michigan State University Extension. It is the energy and excitement that is built in the classroom that continues to drive my passion for teaching,” Dr. Tobe said.
