Biography

Dr. Matteson’s research interests include student engagement, motivation, and giving students a voice. Dr. Matteson teaches various undergraduate and graduate classes. In addition to teaching, Dr. Matteson serves as the internship coordinator for the HDFS department. Previous to this position, Dr. Matteson worked as a Foreclosure Counselor before turning his interest toward the financial industry spending a brief time as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones Investments and then becoming a HAMP
