My name is Qi Huang. I am a doctoral candidate in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at Michigan State University, with a concentration in Diversity, Youth, and Family Development (DYAD). My research centers on the cultural and academic adaptation of minority populations, specifically focusing on the well-being of Chinese international students. My previous work at the Office for ... International Students and Scholars (OISS), where I supported international students in crises, motivated me to delve deeper into understanding their experiences. Currently, my research is dedicated to exploring the academic, cultural, and psychological adjustments of international students facing academic challenges, notably Chinese international students on academic probation or dismissal. Additionally, I am actively engaged in research concerning discrimination experiences, cultural socialization, and the well-being of ethnic and racial minority adolescents and young adults.
