Biography

Tanner Hickman (he/him/his) is a doctoral student in the Human Development and Family Studies department, with a concentration in Couple and Family Therapy. His advisor is Dr. Kendal Holtrop. Tanner’s focus and research interest surround parenting. This includes self-regulation in parenting, attrition in parenting interventions, better dissemination of evidence-based parenting interventions to underserved ... populations, fathers in parenting, and the timing of parenting interventions for families. Additionally, he wants to know more about how we help parents sustain the skills and knowledge they learn in evidence-based interventions.
