Biography

Dr. Amanda Guinot Talbot is the director of undergraduate education and an assistant professor in MSU’s Department of Human Development and Family Studies. As the director of the Women’s Leadership, Dr. Guinot Talbot works on institute programming, curricula, and student and alumni engagement. Dr. Guinot Talbot also is a co-administrator of the financial literacy educational campaigns at MSU (Go for ... the Green). She received her master’s degree in Family Studies and Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies from Michigan State University. Dr. Guinot Talbot’s primary research interests are family economics and financial capability across the lifespan. Her previous research has investigated work and family issues, un-and underemployment, and financial capability in older worker and emerging adult populations. Dr. Guinot Talbot’s studies aim to contribute insight that can help increase the quality and visibility of financial education and equip individuals with the proper tools to function successfully in the financial world.
