Children and the Water Crisis in Flint: "What the Eyes Don't See"

Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha will be speaking on the history of lead in Flint water and environment, how it is intertwined with politics, the social trajectories of poor people, and health policy. She will provide evidence of the impact on children in Flint and the ensuing outcomes for education, health, mental health, and child development. Finally, she will provide some evidence of current interventions and where health and water policy should go. She argues, this is both a local and national crisis.
