Sarah Barth comes to the Child Development Laboratories from the University of Michigan’s Towsley Children’s House. She has a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood, a Michigan’s Elementary Teaching Certificate with an Early Childhood Endorsement. Currently, Sarah teaches a student teacher practicum for Eastern Michigan University and a University of Michigan Child Psychology practicum. Sarah has formed a number of community partnerships in her role as lead teacher at Towsley Children’s House; including a collaboration with the UM School for Environment and Sustainability in creating a Forest Preschool Classroom in the UM Nichols Arboretum.
Sarah has presented at a variety of conferences and trainings. Topic include supporting children who push our boundaries, Growing relationships with children through nature, Importance of Play, Project Approach Curriculum. Sarah strongly supports family engagement with a priority on open communication.
