Ms. Wendorf is the Head Infant Teacher, she has worked in the child development field since 2013. She worked many years at Lansing Community College's Early Learning Children's Community with university students, infants and toddlers. Working with infants is one of her passions, she truly enjoys sharing in those first moments with families and children. Being one of the first teachers a child has brings a special responsibility and she spends a lot of one-on-one time with children building trust. One of Ms. Wendorf’s interests is learning more about loose parts and collecting different materials for the children to explore and use in the classroom. She also enjoys creating toys for the children to use, especially ones that meet both the child's interest and assessment tools. Ms. Wendorf plans to pursue a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. She believes children are competent and capable and that they learn best through having their own experiences. Ms. Wendorf greatly enjoys presenting at local and state conferences and looks forward to presenting at a national conference.
