Pendo Galukande is a Human Development doctoral student from Kampala, Uganda. She completed her MA in CMFT at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She has a BSc in Zoology from Makerere University and a Masters in Health Systems Management from University of London.
She is the author of the book “Demystifying the Drama of Marriage” . Her research interest is to find a “cure” for emotional disconnection in intimate relationships within traumatized populations in Africa.
She is passionate about knowledge translation and has hosted several webinars and speaks at events.
Outside of her work as a therapist, Pendo and her husband , are committed to youth soccer because of their young adult son who hopes to go pro any day. Her decades old social enterprise Dis N Dat, provides employment to urban youth through their hand crafted paper-crafts and gift service. Pendo loves to meditate and is an outdoor enthusiast.
