Britney Reason has been part of the field of early childhood since graduating with an undergraduate degree in 2016. Before becoming an Academic Specialist at Michigan State University, Britney taught preschool 3 as a Lead Teacher at the Spartan Child Development Center. Drawing from various philosophies and approaches, she understands that the first years of a child’s life are highly formative and influential. Britney is committed to fostering children into lifelong learners by strengthening social emotional, cognitive, language and literacy, motor, aesthetic, and affective development in a nurturing, diverse, and inclusive environment. An environment in which children feel safe, represented, and encouraged to ask questions which allows them to explore through play-based and hands-on interactive, exploratory learning.
