Carolyn Pomeroy is an Academic Specialist who strives to meet the needs of all children through developmentally appropriate practice and play. She graduated from Michigan State University in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and Elementary Education and received her Master's Degree from MSU in 2010 in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction. Ms. Pomeroy taught Elementary School in Atlanta, Georgia for 15 years before returning to Michigan to the Child Development Lab. She values diversity in the classroom and works to meet the needs of all children and families in her classroom. She believes that a strong connection between families and school is one of the keys to helping all children reach their fullest potential. Ms. Pomeroy has a passion for early literacy development. She helps foster social/emotional and problem solving skills through play and hands-on experiences.
