My name is Meng Fang (he/him/his) and I am a doctoral student in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Couple and Family Therapy. Dr. Andrea K. Wittenborn is my advisor. My research interests include testing Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Chinese couples and Chinese couples' help-seeking behaviors. I have multiple ongoing projects addressing the following topics: development and course of the therapeutic alliance in EFT, the features of Chinese couples’ help-seeking behaviors, and the cultural adaptation of Hold Me Tight for Chinese couples. My research draws heavily from attachment theory and social constructionism.
