Dr. Marsha Carolan, Associate Professor, earned her Ph.D. from Virginia Tech. She has taught and written in the area of diversity, with a particular focus on the impact of diversity on health and health disparities.  She is a licensed family therapist and AAMFT supervisor and currently holds the position of Clinic Director for the training clinic of the AAMFT accredited program for Couple and Family Therapy. She recently developed and implemented a program with her doctoral students and colleagues, for interpersonal violence and conflict in couple relationships. She is a Lilly Teaching Fellow, received the Teacher-Scholar award early in her career, and recently was nominated for the College Teaching Award.
