Looking Ahead to Graduate School

The undergraduate degree programs in Human Development and Family Studies prepare students to pursue graduate degrees in many areas. 

Graduates from the Human Development and Family Studies (formerly the Family Community Services) Degree Program have gone on to pursue degrees in:

  • Child Life
  • Community Services
  • Education
  • Family Life Education
  • Law School
  • Medicine
  • Public Policy
  • Social Work
  • Youth Development

Graduates from the Child Development Degree Program have earned graduate degrees in:

  • Education
  • Counseling
  • Special Education
  • Teacher Certification in other states

Graduates can choose to become scholars in the field by pursuing an M.A. and Ph.D., or become practictoners who work directly with children, youth and families by earning a M.A or Ed.S.
