Amanda Campbell is an Assistant Teacher who has earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Baker College. Ms. Campbell has a diverse range of work experience and skills that she has gathered working in the Early Childhood field for more than ten years. Ms. Campbell has taught and directed in public, private and government funded centers both within the United States and abroad, focusing on infants and toddlers. She believes all people, children and adults, learn through exploration. Her areas of interest include: comparing early childhood approaches and techniques, working with children who have special needs, along with introducing arts and sciences through age appropriate activities. She also places strong emphases on building strong bonds between the staff and parents, as well as creating a safe, nurturing and exploratory environment in which the children can learn. One of her current goals is to work with other HDFS faculty to create a presentation on “Starting and Harnessing Children’s Love for Arts and Sciences in Infancy,” to present at local, state and national conferences in the near future.
