HDFS Undergraduates Job and Graduate School Placement Rates in 2011 Among the Highest for the College of Social Sciences
Human Development and Family Studies undergraduates have one of the highest placement rates in the College of Social Science for 2011. This is the second year we have been leaders for the college in job and graduate school reported placement following graduation.
Family Community Services undergraduates are required to complete a semester-long internship before graduation. Many agencies and organizations comment on how well prepared HDFS students are when they come to the agency and some students have secured positions with the agency before they even graduate!
Child Development undergraduates complete a semester-long student teaching experience in the Child Development Laboratories and then go on to complete the Elementary Education internship year. The majority of the students complete their internship year in Michigan, others teach in the Chicago Public Schools and now global internship placements are becoming available.
Thanks to all who contribute to our student’s successful placement after graduation!
